Nicaulis Alliey

Nicaulis AllieyNicaulis Alliey has won the Premier Prix de la Ville de París with unanimity of the jury in 1994 and First Prize in the Concurso Latinoamericano de Flauta (Caracas, 2000). After receiving a scholarship in Venezuela, Ms. Alliey traveled to Paris, where she studied at the University of Sorbonne with Raymond Guiot (flute soloist in the Opera de Paris).

Ms. Alliey has performed with various orchestras like Orquesta Sinfónica de Maracaibo, Orquesta Filarmónica Nacional de Venezuela, Orquesta Sinfónica de Lara, Orquesta Sinfónica Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho, Orquesta Sinfónica del Estado Mérida, Orquesta Sinfónica “Simón Bolívar” del Táchira, Ensamble Improptu (París), and with prominent conductors and soloists like Michel Bellavance, Alain Marion, Luís Quintero, Helmut Rilling, Yuri Hung, José Luís Castillo, Eduardo Marturet, César Iván Lara and Rodolfo Saglimbeni. She was first flutist in the Orquesta Internacional de París, and second flutist in the Orquesta Sinfónica de Lara. Ms. Alliey is currently appointed as first flutist in the Orquesta Sinfónica de Maracaibo and plays traditional Venezuelan music in her ensemble: La Cuadra Venezolana.

Until recently, Ms. Alliey has been active as Director of the "Escuela de Música de la Facultad Experimental de Arte de la Universidad del Zulia (FEDA-LUZ).
